Another tool that could give you a hand is the RIT Career Fair Plus app for Android. The app enables you to see which companies are attending the fair, a map of the Field House, events to help you prepare, and other Career Fair announcements.
The career fair is an exciting opportunity, so take some time to prepare:
Do Some Research
By researching companies you’re interested in, you will have something to talk about when you visit their table at the Career Fair!
Update Your Resume
Resumes are necessary evils, and it can be hard to make time to update it. However, you should be sure to update your resume before the fair, so employers have an idea of what kind of job experience you have.
Dress Up!
Employers are looking at you, be sure to be tidy and clean when you come to the Career Fair! The old adage “Dress for the job you want, not the job you have!” is great to keep in mind.
Don’t forget to check out RIT Job Zone, where you can find all the companies that will be in attendance. You can also follow the RIT Career Fair on Twitter @RITCareerFair, and #RITCF. Remember it is important to feel confident and comfortable at the Career Fair. The Career Fair is a rewarding experience, don’t miss your chance to network with future employers! Good luck!
