Tiger Center

Tiger Center Wireframe Design

As a web designer for RIT's Student I.T. Office (SITO), I created wireframes for Tiger Center, a web application built by students for students. This application allows users to enroll in classes, manage dinaing balances, locate places on campuses and more. These wireframes helped establish a design direction for the Tiger Center redesign, which should be launced by the end of the year. Click on the title above to view the full wireframe documenation.

Static Hand

Scanography & Compositing

The hand was scanned using an Epson Perfection Pro Scanner. The image of the hand, colorful static and TV's were edited and composited in Adobe Photoshop. Click on the search icon to view full image.

Daydreams

Flip Book

Daydreams is an image flip book that tells a story about a girl bored in class wishing she could be out exploring the world. Photos of the main character were taken using a Canon Rebel T3i and photos of the background were came from an image public domain website called Pexels. All photos were edited in Adobe Photoshop. Brand Style Guide

Created and designed a fictional brand style guide that represetned myself. This project allowed me to experience the process of making a print piece from start to finish. I created a logo, color scheme and content to populate the guide. The guide was created using Adobe InDesign. Click on the title to view the full brand style guide.

Gig Reporter

Gig Reporter

Using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and API keys from The New York Times and Ticketmaster website, I was able to design and create a website which allows you to search for concert tickets and articles about your favorite bands. Click the title above to view the website.

Scanography

Using a fortune cookie and Epson Perfection Pro Scanner, I was able to create this image of a smashed fortune cookie. The image was edited using Adobe Photoshop. Click on the search icon to view full image.

PHLOTE Mission Patch

NASA Mission Patch Design

Using Adobe Illustrator I created these logos to be used as a design for a NASA mission patch. The mission that these logos will represent is called PHLOTE. The logo designs have appeared on presentation posters, apparel and will be represnted on a offical report (link to the offical report TBA). Click on the title to learn more about the NASA mission.

Kraken

Photography

Using a Kraken shot glass and a flashlight, I was able to capture the design detail of the shot glass and the shadow it created on the surface. This photo was taken using a DSLR Canon Rebel T31 and editied in Adobe Photoshop. Click on the search icon to view full image.

Created and designed layout for a ficitional magazine which tells the history of Bodoni, a font-family. All content was gathered from research. The project was created using Adobe InDesign. Click on title to view full magazine.

Using a DSLR Canon Rebel T31, Adobe Photoshop and a helpful friend, I was able to explore the idea of grid photography and create a narrative using onlt a few images. Click on the search icon to view full image.

Admin Console

Admin Console Wireframe Design

As a web designer for Priority Thinking L.L.C., I designed wireframes for their web application called Admin Console. The purpose of this web application is to create surveys for small-medium companies to distribute to employees and provide insights based off of the results. I followed similar design festures of Metro UI, since the company chose to use this as their front-end framework. Click on the title to view a demo of the wireframes.

Website Redesign

Website Redesign

As a final project for Webpage Production I, I redesigned RIT's School of Media Sciences: Connect website using HTML, CSS, SASS, Bourbon and Saffron. All content was provided from the School of Media Science: Connect official website. Click the title to view the redesign website. *The original Connect website has been rebranded to RIT School of Media Sciences and follows a different style that my redesign was based off of.

Hi my name is Jill. I am an aspiring front-end web developer and visual designer. I am a current student at Rochester Institute of Technology studying Media Arts & Technology. Because of the diversity my major has to offer, I have a wide range of skills: front-end web development, page design and layout, photo retouching and manipulation, visual design, content management and more.
